Summary
DescriptionThornbury Castle2.jpg
Thornbury Castle in south Gloucestershire. The castle was built in 1511 for Thomas Stafford, 3rd Duke of Buckingham, a man who had (at least potentially) a better claim to the throne than the Tudors. Not surprisingly he came to a sticky end and the place was confiscated by Henry VIII (Wikipedia article). It's now a hotel and restaurant.
