Robert T. Lincoln, son of President Abraham Lincoln, and formerlyUnited States Minister to England, said: Queen Victoria was one of the wisest women—probably the wisestwoman that ever lived. I do not mean to say that she was a genius, but hergreat gift of common sense, re-enforced by her vast store of knowledge,enabled her to counsel men and women of all classe
