Summary

Description
English: Steam engine, Markfield Road Pumping Station Eight column independent Woolf compound beam pumping engine. Built 1886 by Wood Bros of Sowerby Bridge. Used to pump sewage. Now preserved. New boilers installed and finally returned to steam operation in September 2009.
