Summary
DescriptionShackerstone Station - geograph.org.uk - 592385.jpg
English: Shackerstone Station The northern terminus of the preserved 'Battlefield Line', Shackerstone Station was built in 1873, a typical country station of its era. The British Railways style signs are of dubious authenticity here as the station was closed to regular passenger services in 1931, long before BR came into existence. A station of this size would hardly have had a tea room in Victorian times either! Nevertheless, there is much of interest here to the enthusiast and the general public alike.
