Summary
DescriptionShackerstone Station - geograph.org.uk - 590709.jpg
English: Shackerstone Station When the LMS closed Shackerstone station in 1931 to regular passenger services - no doubt traffic was very sparse in this rural area - it could hardly have envisaged that it would one day be the northern terminus of a heritage railway running as far as Shenton. As with all such railways, the station is a mixture of authentic restoration and tourist attraction, but the dedication and enthusiasm of the volunteer labour is very obvious.
