DescriptionOriel Mostyn - Art Gallery (geograph 2150645).jpg
English: Oriel Mostyn - Art Gallery. Oriel Mostyn Gallery built in 1902 to house the extensive art collection assembled by Lady Augusta Mostyn; the gallery is believed to be the first in the world built to display the work of female artists. By 1914 the gallery was empty and was requisitioned for use as an army drill hall. It was used for storage and warehousing until 1979 when it re-opened as an art gallery presenting occasional public exhibitions. It has been revamped again and was renamed simply 'Mostyn' in 2010.
