English: Norham Castle The castle was built for the Bishop of Durham in 1121. Despite being dismantled, remodelled several times and suffering from Border warfare, it is still an impressive sight and one of the most complete defensive buildings on the Border. Viewed from the edge of the square in a large field on the north side of the B6470.
