English: Napoleon Bonaparte The Emperor Napoleon was a well known snuff-taker and this advertising model, carved from a single piece of oak, stood outside a shop in Bridge Street for 153 years, then outside Mrs.Judith Thorpe's tobacconists in Lendal for 24 years. He has safely resided with his snuff box in the Merchant Adventurers Hall since 1997.
