Summary

Description
English: Main doorway, Fountains Hall Fountains Hall was built for Sir Stephen Proctor in 1611, using stone 'pinched' from the nearby abbey. Stone came mainly from the Abbots Lodging which was one of the last parts of the abbey to be built [and presumably had some of the best stone]. This beautiful house is now in the care of the National Trust.
