Summary

Description
English: Hydraulic ram, Centre for Alternative Technology Well-known black magic device for pumping a lower volume of water to a high head by converting the energy of a larger mass of flowing water at a lower head. This is on a par with the steam injector and the gas fridge (absorption chiller) in my lexicon of incomprehensible devices.
