Summary
| Description |
English: HMS Belfast, diagram of the boiler.
The water comes (8), and goes into pipes (9). Warmed by the combustion of the fuel (came in 3), steam bubbles forming in these pipes, and arrives in the drum (7). Then steam goes (through 6) in smaller pipes (10) and being superheated here. At last, superheated steam goes to engine room (5).
Français : Diagramme d'une chaudière du HMS Belfast. L'eau arrive (8), et passe dans les tuyaux (9). Chauffée par la combustion du carburant (arrivé en 3), des bulles de vapeur se forment dans ces tuyaux, et remontent dans le cylindre (7). Puis la vapeur passe (6) dans des tuyaux plus fins (10), ou elle est surchauffée. Enfin, elle part dans la salle des machines (5). |
