| Description |
English: Cornish beam engine, Prestongrange The preserved Cornish beam pump. This is the bottom chamber with the working gear in front of the 90" cylinder. This was an interesting engine as it had a barometric condenser down the shaft. This has gone without trace. The negative is very dark but the equalise function in photoshop has worked a treat (better on monochrome than colour). |
